Mypoints Games are a scam to Mac users.
They give you the $6 or so for a trial. All the games work just fine using the training money. I earned almost $20 with the training money within two days and they locked me out of the system and sent me an error message saying my skills were too good for training mode and I needed to deposit money to continue playing. I thought that was odd, but okay I can accept that…I am pretty good.
I had asked by email if the training money transferred over when I do make a deposit….no that doesn’t happen. I decided to deposit $10. from my paypal to the Mypoints Games to try it out. Just so you know, there is a fee of $.45 (45 cents) or so to make a deposit. I was urked, but figured okay I might win that back or have some fun at least. My deposit was accepted immediately and took a day to register on Mypoints Games. No problem….I thought.
Next day, I was all set up to go and I went to play the tournaments for a few dollars and I get an error message. My Operating System is incompatible with the games or something like that. Funny thing is I could play most of the FREE games just fine. I was never informed that Mypoints Games had a problem with the Mac OS at all or even saw any notes to discuss such a thing. I was lead to believe everything would work once I make a deposit.
Well, none of the games you could purchase to have a chance to actually win something worked. So within that first hour of exploring the whole sight and being disappointed with the whole thing, I figured I’d withdrawl my cash and forget about it.
Withdrawling your cash is a joke too, they charge you $1.25 for a check to be sent to your home. I decided to send an email to customer service requesting a full refund back to my Paypal account since I didn’t have access to the games and there was no way to know that before I made a deposit. I felt like I went to an arcade and the machine ate all my coins and they wouldn’t refund my money. I never got an email response. I waited over two weeks and decided to have them send me my refund by check anyway. So I submitted the request, was angry about them deducting $1.25 from my money at this point since I couldn’t even use their services. I sent another email still requesting reimbursement. Two weeks after that, I finally got an email from Paypal saying a deposit was put into my account from Mypoints Games—-which a fee is charged by paypal at that point. I was extremely mad by this especially after giving them $1.25 for them to send me a check. Out of $10.00 that I deposited, I only have $8.45.
I guess that is the game they offer Mac Users. Take your money! — not worth the effort.
Their business ethics and customer service is horrible. I still haven’t received any kind of response regarding the problem or any kind of reasonable remedy.
Now don’t mix up Mypoints Rewards with Mypoints Games they are completely seperate.
Mypoints Rewards have been awesome, they keep their word, redeem your points expeditiously, and have a lot of great beneficial offers.
MYPOINTS GAMES is a complete scam to Mac Users.
I just received another offer to play games there…like nothing ever happened. Get a clue MYPOINTS GAMES—you failed to offer the services you solicited, took my money, ran, and aren’t making good on it!

Not only is everything you described mostl likely a problem, but the odds of taking home any real winnings are slim and none.
You made out well by getting your $8 and change back.
Your odds are better playing in a casino.
See, in a head to head competition on Mypoints Games, you go up against another competitor. You each wager $1.00, for example. The winner takes home $1.50. The loser, nothing. Where does the other .50 go? Right into the house’s pocket.
If you win 50% of the time, you actually LOSE money. If you win half the time in a casino, you can expect to break close to even on most games.
On mypoints games, you must win 67% of your matches just to break even. If you want to take home a profit, you’ll need to win basically 75% of the time, or 3 out of 4 competitions.
Since that’s statistically impossible (you are matched against players of similar skill levels), almost everyone loses money even if they’re winning a majority of their games. The only winner is mypoints games because of the 25% rake they take out of each game.
SCAM SCAM SCAM. Worse than a casino.
I had a similar experience. I found that the mypoints rewards are nice but the games suck. I suspect that they are “outsourcing” their games. I have spent hours doing surveys, and have made some points, and some cash. But it works out to only $1.00 / hr plus change. Not a very good use of my time. I read an article about an online money making opportunity. I tried It and now, with only about 2 hours a day investment of time, I am making $150 a day in additional income.
