Have you had any problems with Kaiser’s billing practices? I’m having a heck of a time getting them to apply my payment properly and quit sending the paid bills to collections and trying to harm my credit. Worse part is my deductible plan in 2007 is drastically different from 2008 and the reps are conveniently getting confused. My blood pressure is rising due to the undue stress. Could you imagine a senior citizen having to deal with such fraudulent billing practices?
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been a Kaiser member for over 35 years and have been confident in their services until 2007’s unorganized fiasco with billing issues.

My Uncle Al grows orchids as a hobby. Aren’t they beautiful. The one in the picture to the left are Cymbidium Orchids the name of this one is Brandy Wine.
Within his own backyard, he has a detailed routine and proven method for cultivating the most beautiful orchids around. His system is setup to always have some in bloom and ready to enjoy or share with others. What a wonderful talent!

My brother Mark gave me a copy of this book. I’ve been reading bits and pieces of this book and am near completion. It’s a wonderful book discussing Authority and Rebelliousness. A lot of great scriptures and advice in it. Thanks Mark!
Here is an excellent verse to remember:
Romans 12:2
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

I’ve been raised to stand up for what is Right. You may have been too. Just know there are unspoken rules though between Family members (shouldn’t be, but there is)
Well, this is what I have learned from standing up for something that was wrong within my family. Yes, I’m completely venting here….so don’t read it if it’ll offend you.
Sounds extremely strange to say this, but It’s true and has happened to me.
Never…I say… Never…ever, tell your family member when something inappropriate has happened to her child in front of your very own eyes by a friend of hers. Unless you plan to be rejected from your whole family because of it and have the real situation turned around on you like you’re some liar, freak, that has harsh evil intentions.

Can’t believe it!! This year Russ and I celebrate our 20th Anniversary. Looking back on everything we’ve been through, I can tell you married life is surely a roller coaster of experiences. Each day can hold a bit of mystery, drama, romance, action, comedy and unfortunately even some horror. It’s the suspenseful times of life, the waiting and trusting the Lord times that are the most challenging. I remember my father reminding me how life just passes by so quickly that one day you’ll wake up, look in the mirror, and realize 10-years have gone by or 20-years, etc. and you’ll wonder where did it go. It’s so true!! Enjoy each day to the fullest!! Thank the Lord for each experience he helps you through.

It’s Luke’s Sweet 16 Birthday!! We’ll be celebrating with all the Grandparents & Friends this weekend. Last night we had his picture taken, took him to the movies and out for Sushi with our close friend Don. Today we’ll be celebrating with my parents and then to Russ’s folks today or tomorrow too. Lots of fun and excitement for Luke.
Luke sure is growing up into a handsome young man. We’re really proud of Luke. He’s learning to set goals in his life, build routines, and face the challenges that are before him. Figuring out who the Lord wants you to be is the roughest as a teen. He’s attending Small Groups at our Church every Wednesday and Sunday and starting to develop a close tie with the HS Pastor and several of the youth in the group. The Lord is good. I enjoy seeing the Lord grabbing a hold of Luke’s heart and guiding him as he continues to develop his relationship with Jesus.

BEWARE —hospital staff, doctors, billing services or membership services don’t have to discuss your spouses information on health or billing or anything, unless a Form is signed 1st. I thought that as long as you’re a spouse in California, you can attain this information. Being married you share community property, community financial responsibilities, etc. Not to the Medical Community. People have screwed with our rights so much… that the rights of big companies are protected and our married legal freedoms are being stripped from us. What’s going on? They want you to pay for your spouse, but not know that they’re double billing and overcharging. Most people just pay the bills instead of standing up for what’s right and wrong!
