Fireproof the movie is an excellent resource for married couples desiring to improve their marriage; be it from being newlyweds or marriages feeling divorce is the only choice. Well, your marriage can change and work for the better with the Lord in the center. Click here to see the trailer and read a brief summary of what the movie is about.
Try the Love Dare! It challenges you to do specific things each day and journal about it and the affect on yourself and your spouse. You can pickup the movie, love dare journals, and other study resources at your local Family Christian Store for individual couple use or to facilitate a couples study group.
The Love Dare can help you evaluate your motives and intentions in your marriage. It will guide you to and through verses in the Bible about what God says our roles are in marriage. Discusses how Respect to a man is real Love, but to a woman Love means caring, listening, and being kind. Men and Women are different and God made us that way on purpose….learning the differences and honoring those differences as the Lord desires us to is what builds your marriage up.
This is the first couples study that Russ has personally took an interest in, searched out, and pursued for us to do together. I’m excited to see where the Lord leads our marriage. Thanks mom and dad for sharing the movie with us and planting the seeds.

The movie, “Click”, with Adam Sandler as the main character, was a movie full of comedy, sexual hints, sadness, and heart touching events. Could’ve done without the dog scenes with the stuffed ducky, after the first time enough was really enough of that. It’s not for small children to view that’s for sure, with the several sexual hints.
If you can get beyond the dog scenes, it’s basically a movie that explores a man’s life that is consumed by work and the intentions of achieving success for a better life. While he’s so engulfed in his work, he misses out on LIVING and enjoying his family and the small things that matter most. By using the Remote Control device, he thinks he can achieve success quicker, which in his reality he only passed life by and he can’t go back. The movie takes you through many emotional thought provoking moments. It has a good twist at the end that basically leaves you appreciating the life you live and it’s all what you do with it.

We went to see the movie “Cars” today. The animation was amazing. It was geared more towards adults with the lengthy meaningful storyline. Only about 4 children under the age of 5 years actually left the theatres due to loss of interest, but most of them got distracted towards the middle of the movie.
I have to say my 5 year old nephew was following the story so well that it got to a part where the girl porsche said something like,”….and I fell in love with this” and instead of the sports car being shown a view of her overlooking the mountainous valley view scenery was shown. My nephew bursted out saying,”she fell in love with that????, huh!!!” The whole audience giggled.
My nephew did enjoy the tractor tipping sound effects and all the racing scenes.
It was colorful, full of unique characters with a lot of personality.
I feel it had a deep lesson. Basically taking a selfish, competitive, prideful character (the sports car) and taking him through a minor challenge. He was forced to slow down to realize the importance of friendships and to value what is really important in life. In other words, “Slow down and enjoy life a little.”
It also sparked my curiousity enough to want to go on a road trip down the Old Route 66 and venture through the little towns that get passed by.
I highly recommend you to see it.
