We’re looking for a ceiling fan with a good light. Hoping to find one for Russ’s office area. His lighting and ventilation is really poor in there. He’s finding that his eyes are bothering him from lack of lighting. So we talked to an electrician friend of ours to see if he’d help us set up a fan with a light in the office and he agreed. So all we have to do at this point is find the right fan/light for our need.
I’m going to go check out Farrey’s online. They offer a ceiling fan search that let’s you see all the brands and manufacturers that they have available to compare all the different styles. It has been really useful for Russ and I to get an idea of the options available to us. Farrey’s is not only reasonably priced, easily accessible online, but also provides quality ceiling fans and lighting products.
Some of my favorites amongst their stock are the modern fan company, fanimation ceiling fans, hunter ceiling fans. Check Farrey’s out for yourself. Might find something you like too.

Russ and I haven’t been using credit cards for sometime now, but we’ve come to discover that there are moments that you need a credit card to purchase on item online or especially when traveling. Yeah, companies will take your debit card, but it locks up the funds in the bank for a couple days. So frustrating when that happens.
Well, we’ve stumbled on to a new alternative to using our personal debit card. It’s an Achieve Card, its basically a Prepaid Credit Card. The AchieveCard is a reloadable, Prepaid Debit Card that can be used at any location that accepts MasterCard. A Prepaid Mastercard like this is perfect for someone like me that doesn’t want to spend more than what you have. So check it out if this is something you’d be interested in.

I didn’t realize how important it is to have the right shoes until I started walking. Wearing my flat, generic tennies just didn’t give me the support my body needs. Of course, as a teenager, I didn’t notice the toll it made on my body, but now I notice every strain on the bod. Once I got a really good pair of walking shoes, my back didn’t hurt, my feet weren’t stressed, and exercising wasn’t as much of burden.
Was planning to start hiking with some friends and I’m wondering what the differences are from hiking shoes and walking shoes. I stumbled on this unique website called Zappos.com and it not only gave me an awesome selection of walking shoes, boots, etc, but it explained the reasoning behind the different styles. I really found that interesting. For example, If you’ll be hiking on rougher terrain or carrying a pack, consider the mid-weight hiking boots and heavyweight hiking boots. The heavier constructions are less flexible, providing more support and protection and most of the styles are water-resistant or waterproof, ideal for wet terrain or inclement weather conditions. Would you have known that?
Anyway, checkout Zappos.com the next time you’re looking for hiking shoes, clothing, jewelry, etc. They offer Free shipping and everything.

Just recently, I discovered a new International company that creates banners, decals, posters, and all kinds of signs. Their reputation maintains that they are fast, accurate, and they take pride in using the latest technology. It’s called, FASTSIGNS.
Perfect for small businesses that decide to update their signage or create a new promotion banner. Even simple enough for the average garage sale, for sale, or custom sign. What I’ve found very helpful on the FASTSIGNS website is the sign idea section. They have an excellent idea resource library for multiple categories. So even if you have a slight idea of what you might want designed, take a look through the library and you’ll get so excited at their recommendations too.
So check FASTSIGNS.com website out for your next sign, banner, decal, or poster need.

I so Love avocados! Did you know that Avocados are a fruit and not a vegetable? I crave them through out the month and have to run out to Sprouts to buy avocados until I meet that craving.
Avocados are full of the good fats that actually help our body’s metabolism, they’re one Superfood that is loaded with major vitamins that help your body function properly. They have such a unique buttery taste. The two most widely marketed avocado varieties are the rough-skinned, almost black Hass and the smooth, thin-skinned green Fuerte. The Hass has a smaller pit and a more buttery texture than the Fuerte. I usually buy avocados that are the Haas variety, but either choice gives you the flavors that you’re looking for in avocados.

Okay, I’ve decided to start focusing more on my health and fitness regimen for 2009. I have a treadmill, a beautiful 3-mile walking course around a lake just across the street from our home, and lots of small businesses within walking distances. So there really is no excuse for me not to get in at least an hour of exercise a day a few days a week, right? Easier said than done for me. I have to schedule and make an effort to force my time to be directed to that amongst all of life’s busyness.
My #1 focus is what I eat. I’m finding that my appetite is decreasing, which is good. Smaller portions of food are satisfying. Russ and I are making a greater effort to share meals if we go out too. So that’s a huge help.
#2 focus is Exercise. This is equally critical for me to focus on. If I don’t plan a time to walk, its just too easy to put it off and remain unmotivated to make any effort at all for physical activity. Once I get going though, I quickly remember how much I enjoy it. I have more energy, my body feels better and functions better, and just feel more healthy all around, etc. etc.
I feel the first step for me to get back into the swing of Fitness is to acknowledge the desire. Then schedule times. Lastly, JUST DO IT!
If you want a resource for a treadmill of your own, check out this online store called, Smooth Fitness. They sell not only treadmills, but all kinds of fitness equipment at reasonable prices.

I’ve been pondering insurance lately and the value of having it. There’s so much insurance to choose from. Just to list a few: medical, dental, life insurance, term life insurance, accidental dismemberment, accidental death, product warranties, credit card coverage, home and car insurance, and even pet insurance. Is it possible to become insurance poor? Meaning, you are paying out too much in insurance that you are literally poor.

Starting from day 6 we were supposed to double the Paranil caps and now take 1 whole scoop of cleansing fiber, and at night steep the tea 5-10 minutes. I’m assuming for more intensive cleansing.
