Relationship and Friendship

Just some thoughts to ponder….
How do you be a friend to or have a relationship with someone that doesn’t know you? Or with someone that may have known you before the Lord changed your life and you completely. Especially within your family– you were raised around each other to care and love each other– how do you handle being around a family member that pretends to know you, but when it comes down to facing a problem, facts, or a life matter, anything you say isn’t believed or trusted? How do you continue on being a friend to someone that feels like anything you say is hurtful, judging, rude or intolerant? How do you have a relationship with someone that can’t see your heart or good intentions in matters, can’t see the good in you, no matter how hard you try to respect and love that person? How do you continue being around someone in denial of who you are even though you Love them Deeply and would give your life for them?
When I think about these things, my heart deeply wonders how Jesus loves any of us at all.
I realize that some people aren’t introduced to Jesus by their family and may be introduced to him by friends, but you’ve been introduced. What will you do with that introduction?.
In my life, Jesus is part of my family. I’ve been raised to know him, to respect him, and to love him. I’ve been given the opportunity of friendship with Jesus through my mother and father’s relationship, just as I would have with any Aunt or Uncle, Nieces, Nephews, or relative. It all comes down to what I choose to do with that opportunity. Do I trust him? Do I know him? Do we have a relationship?
Reading the Word (Bible) and understanding how Jesus responds to people just amazes me. He is God in flesh. He’s our perfect example. He’s our Gift of Salvation. Do you believe what he says? Do you trust him? Do you see his Good-Will towards us when the Word tells us what he hates or how he desires us to live? Or Do you see him as too Judging, Intolerant, Rude? I’m far from perfect or deserving of his relationship, will he still be my savior and friend? Of course! He wants to meet us where we are and help us to understand who He is and accept his friendship and the Free Gift of Salvation that he has given us. Something to think about.
I believe having a relationship with Jesus is the most important relationship to make sure you have and continue. I believe he’ll help us with relationships we have with our families, friends, acquaintances, and people in general too. He’s the best Friend any one could ever know. Just knowing He loves us unconditionally and is waiting for us to want to know him, is profound in itself. God wants a relationship with You and Me! I look forward to waking up thanking him for a new day. I look forward to starting the day asking the Lord to help me to please him in every opportunity I face each day, and knowing he’s there and will help me. Even if something seems impossible to deal with, He makes a way to deal with it.
Just some words for thought.
